Loves in the Air
If you are not in the mood to face that long line at your favorite restaurant or that travel chaos at the airports, how about spending Valentine's Day at home and in the greatest romance mood? We've talked with Bruna Lourenço, interior designer and creator of the blog "Stories of Home," and we've got precious tips for you to decorate each environment with much love and sensuality!
LIVING ROOM
If you want to celebrate in an easy-going way, Bruna suggests "setting up a camp" in the living room. "Cover the floor with a warm rug, patterned cushions, and soft blankets—almost like a Moroccan tent," she says. Serve some snacks on a center table, and then take off your shoes to feel more comfortable.
KITCHEN
Taking advantage of Arabic inspiration from the living room, one suggestion is to prepare a menu with aphrodisiac ingredients. Search for different recipes and serve them all in bowls or dishes with delicate and romantic prints, such as flowers or birds. Oh, don't forget that wine glass!
BEDROOM
It's the most important environment, isn't? "Good lighting with lamps placed in strategic areas, leaves a mysterious twilight with the use of indirect lighting," says the interior designer. To remember the dating moments, distribute frames across the walls of the room, then leave the bed ready with a very soft comforter—it will warm up the environment!
BATHROOM
The celebration can include the entire house! In the bathroom, use some scent diffuser to leave the space that good smell with spa vibes. It is also worth spreading candlesticks on the floor or on some shelf. The romantic climate will be even more relaxing and engaging. After bathing, leave a bathrobe ready.
