Pop Art
Arising in the 1950s, the Pop Art movement still brings up works with lots of colors and fun characteristics, such as the iconic picture of Andy Warhol's actress Marilyn Monroe. The interior designer Camila Meira Martins teaches how you can take all this joy to decorate your home too!
Nothing discreet!
To include in the decoration pieces in the pop art style, the idea is to work with items that can be modified easily, such as pillows, frames and other objects. "The use of this style gives a cheerful and modern climate to any environment especially if the place has neutral furniture," explains Camila.
As the color is the great protagonist, "keep key items like a couch, curtains, and the rugs room in a sober palette" she said.
Note!
If you enjoyed and want to invest everything in this style, check out other tips from the designer:
- Pop Art brings references from great celebrities and brands so you can use the items that match with your personality, musical style etc.
- Another important point is not to exaggerate the colors of the frames, leaving the most flashy for the decorating objects.
- Finally, a combination that is in high is the use of retro objects in contrast to modern elements of pop art. Try it!
